Have a few thoughts and will try and put them down in an email

 

VOLUNTEERS

 

We had 46 volunteers sign up and an additional 9 just show up

 

Every one that had signed up showed up and that is great cause

they tell me usually about 20% of people who sign up do not show up

for event

 

People did not always show up at time they had signed up for and this

was a problem with assignments however worked this   out with reassignments

 

The Assignments/Duties  list that Donna did up was really good only problem

was no one really wanted to take the time to read or follow it.

 

The Fishing Booth could use 2 people next year and we will try to have 2, Steve

is only able to help one child at a time, also need to have them in a more visiable

area.

 

Green Lights Childrens table needs to be on the walk way out side not behind other

booths as no one could see it, however Elaine's helpers did a great job of promoting

the area. (In fact she has 3 volunteers from this year that want to work at her booth

next year not counting her grandaughter)

 

Training for volunteers would be great at least for the Greeters Booth and Speakers

Room.  Not sure training for everyone is necessary.  Need to be sure that volunteers

who sign up stay where assigned several times it was only the 2 High School students

at the Greeters Booth.

 

Could use more volunteers in early AM  Volunteers we had were great could have just

used a few more.

 

Try to assign volunteers to Tear Down also, everyone helped and it went fast but again

could have used a couple of more.

 

Having the room for volunteers worked well , next year will try and assign someone to

stay in room all day

 

Lunch went well, don't know if we want to stay with bag lunch or go to ticket for use  at

outside grill for next year.

 

OTHER NOTES

 

I checked with Margaret and no one showed up for Cole Center for a tour. She has already

sent out a note to FVPD Green Team for next years event.

 

Maybe we should ask all the Vendors to just shut down for Key Note etc. I know we asked

but visitors kept coming up to tables asking questions is what several vendors said.

 

Maybe we would want to put the volunteers where the Speakers room was and the Speakers

where the volunteers were as it would be more quiet there, however not a visable something

to think about.

 

The Volunteers were great and have several that want to return next year so that is great as

without volunteers the event would not be possible.

sorry I can't make it sorry I can't make it today. I have to file an emergency motion for court,
I'm doing this morning.

I did give linda my check

my suggestion would be to raise some money to do marketing
then try and get flyers in all the kids folders in schools be-
fore the end of the year. Drs Erland and roberts are in my rotary club so hopefully I can get them to help
