FYI….. the communication thread from Alpa and Sayema
Minoo
Thank you, Sayema and Alpa for bringing to the fore, photographic evidences of leaks in the basement roof of the Olympia basements, which, if left to others, would have been suppressed,
- something that I have, during my tenure as Chief of AMC 2014/15, been observing as festering for weeks, if not months, at a time, only to be given cosmetic patch up, and which re-occurs at regular intervals during every monsoon
- Yes, and before I forget, something which Olympians dare not talk of, lest it be seen as censuring those in their representatives on the BoM whom they elected with such blind faith
- in the “fond” hope that the elected under the stewardship of Capt Bhalla or Adv VP Dalmia are technically sound enough as NOT to compromise with the long term safety and durability and integrity of the “structure” during the service life of its infrastructure.
- Especially when we have stalwarts like Tarun Puri (vide an earlier mail) et al at the helm of “voluntary” community service to confirm that all is well!.
2. It is therefore, truly sad that we have several such guys, who always try to paint a rosy picture and deftly shy away from giving plausible answers to valid questions like at what cost, and at whose expenses.
“As for whose cost and to what effect? Did not have time to get to this point.”…….
3. Wah wah Tarun!
There is a limit to what even the most gullible resident of the community are asked, in the name of fraternity and camaraderie, to swallow, and/or, at a later date, to contribute to costs that have to be incurred, due to inherent defects arising out of the Builder’s arrogance to palm off a congenitally defective baby”
But the, tomorrow is another day! And tomorrow lasts a year by which time all will be forgotten and forgiven like the WP-32353 of 2015 and/or till we wake up, as vintage Utopians did after 8 years, to find the ENTIRE basement flooded –????
And we find our dear Tarun opining, at that time, as he has now:
“I don't know if it's an issue of water seepage in the lift rooms or the shaft and water collecting in the basement at the bottom of the shaft, so reason behind lifts going out of order not known, …….
I believe it's done as a precautionary measure for some reason, which am also assuming is on some chart to get fixed at some point.

Subject: Re: [UTOPIA] The leaking basement of Olympia basement!
Hi,
I second Ms.Sayema.The (sic) basement has not only become the breeding ground for mosquitoes but also stinks badly these days. Also no fumigation happening I n society these days. We all are aware of the precautions to be taken during monsoon season and we all are hearing about the increasing cases of dengue around, so the basement needs urgent attention please. And the fumigation of the premises too is also an urgent concern.

Dear All
PFA the pictures of the leaking basemen of Olympia, which has also become the breeding ground of mosquitoes now. It's in a pathetic state. Absolutely unacceptable. I am willing to stand and get things fixed provided we get to see the people concerned. We don't get to see nimbus guys this side.
We must have the maintenance office reopened.
Regards
Sayema
