It can get frustrating.
I have been waiting for the Estate Management office and BoM to take corrective action on a complaint lodged on July 5, 2016. And all they have done so far is point to the complaint matrix on the notice boards instead of trying to fix the complaint. The CM is being used as a tool to pass their responsibility.
I thought after the election of new members things would improve and indeed it was heartening to begin with but probably we are now back to our bad habits of not responding.
God bless the residents
Regards
Afsir

Still continues to be a no show. It not been hanging for 2 months but 9 months. Earlier they didn't do anything as everything was dry. Now they don't turn up because it is all wet. I don't see any intent to resolve the issue

Dear Mr. Tyagi, Maj Vinod,

It will be appreciated that his case has been hanging fire for over 2 months now.

May I therefore request an early resolution of the issue. I suggest that you drop all other cases and endeavor address this matter as first proirity.

Col Bakshi

It been 2 weeks of follow up with no action. The water seepage at the entrance is all around the electricity mains. Is the team waiting for a big accident before taking action?

Can you impress on EIPL to act? What happened to all the assurances of resolving seepage issues.

I have been regularly following up for last 9 months(not counting the earlier period) but nothing has been done despite multiple assurance for you in your capacity as the head of maintenance committee.

Thanks,

Amarjot

For the record the seepage at the following. Spot continues to be unaddressed:
1. Entrance to the apartment: from the shaft during rainy season. Re plastering done 4 times in three years. Root cause addressed never. I was told today that it is from the bathroom of Eh1 704 due to a leaky angle valve. That does not explain the seepage in the roof and why does only manifest in rainy season.

2. Balcony outside the living room: seepage from roof. No repairs

3. Bathroom roof of master bed room and adjoining bathroom: from the shaft. No repairs

4. Balcony outside master bedroom and master bed room roof. Repair conducted in Dec 2015. Still unresolved and wet patch after the rain spell

5. Balcony outside kitchen: from the roof no repair carrier out

6. Third bathroom: from the roof no tapir carried out

7. guest bed room: from the side wall: no repair. Told don't have scaffolding to reach 8th floor

Would appreciate if a all the spot are addressed. Have been complaining about the same for 4 years now with no resolution.

Col Bakshi,

The EIPL team mentioned that the responsibility to conduct repairs ends on 16tj July after Which seepage complaint would be taken up my AURA. Can you confirm the same.

Thanks,

Amarjot

Col Bakshi,

I finally had Shambhu visit today. While all the spot are wet now due to rain he is offering the same peel the plaster and put water proofing as solution.

The seepage is due to rain water and without addressing the root cause it is not going away. All this while they refused to believe there was a problem. Now the problem is in your face and now the age old cosmetic job. I have told him to fix the root cause and then take up the plaster and paint. I see no intent to address the root cause. just an FYI

Thanks,
Amarjot

Day 5

Another reminder still waiting as both for EIPL to show up and your response

As I have requested multiple times in the past can atleast the Aura BOM create a list of
Not just the apartments but all the spots of bother by apartment independently and then press upon EIPL to solve those.

As of now I only see us pleading with Tyagi and the likes to do something.

Thanks,

Col  Bakshi,

Its been 3 days and we havent heard back from EIPL. Sombeer and a labourer visited my place but only assess the slope in the bathroom. I made Sombeer look at the other spot and he confirmed those were wet, but he needed Shambhu and Tyagi to come over and assess which never happened.

After which no one turned up. They clearly have no intent to solve the issue. Now again they will have the same song that it is all dry.

My patience has totally runout and it is apparent that EIPL is not serious / incapable of solving the issue. Can you or someone from the BOM let me know what is the plan of action here. Last even when i spoke to you, i was told by you that the water seepage in the club is a priority and that i will have to wait for the EIPL staff to be available and this was 2 days back.

Thanks,

They were supposed to start the work on Saturday but since then no one has turned up. I am att

Not unusual the silence!

Now that all MMC agreements have been “novated”, the BoM members are wise enough to understand the sound of silence as being the best cure to all “complaints” arising from such novation!

See how Bakshi’s responses too have changed?

Now that they are secure in saddle till the next year!

Subject: Re: [UTOPIA] Fw: Seepage complaints

It has been observed that post AURA election, no one is responding to the complaints / issues raised by the residents. Fait to understand why this attitude ? Either  the nature of complaint does not qualify for the due attention of the BOM members OR they dont have time.

An appeal was made by many during election that only those should contest the election or only those be voted who have min 3/4 hrs / day for the society. However the members elected do not have even 3/4 mins to respond to the residents complaints.

I am hope full this message would not be taken negatively and some one would sense the pain of people and would come forward to address the issues. Lets not forget that the effective communication is must. Rest I leave it to the wisdom of the BOM members.

Best Regards

When King Akbar drew a line and asked witty Birbal to make it small without rubbing or cutting, Birbal drew a bigger line besides that to make it smaller. My complaint on the issue is pending since 2014 along with many other issues. I am still to get any response. You are in the queue Mr. Afsir and my suggestion is to relax and enjoy the weather.

I think we must give the new team a chance to correct the past mistakes but from the correspondence it reveals that the new team is still banking on Maj. Vinod and Mr. Tyagi. I am doubtful if they will extend any help.
