OJU Kata Course 20-24 August 2 Silver Medals!
Meera secured silver medals in both Juno kata and Kime no kata at the Oceania Judo Union Kata Competition. That follows on from her Silver in Juno Kata and Bronze in Goshin Jutsu in 2012. That makes four Oceania Medals now, and three of them are SILVER!!! WAY TO GO. So if You want the best of Kata teaching you are in the right place at Adelaide University. Chris Hustig was Meera’s partner for junokata and Michelle Matthews was Meera’s partner for kime no kata! Wow that makes 4 silvers!
Club Challenge is Next Saturday, Aug 30th
Only 5 days and you can try all your moves! It’s at Thebarton next Saturday at 1. We need to set up a full mat area. Then you can challenge and try to get your hand around the rules. All you have to do is be there and you will see how it all works in sport judo… And down to the pub after!

Well actually, the Judo Federation of Australia will be going on line with individual members, so come next year we can not collect and pay for you any more. So this year we will need to change. Getting ready for the change is the only option going forward. So the solution is to set a reduced annual and Semester Fee. Then each person will pay judo SA separately… Yes it is happening, so this year we will be the last year we collect on your behalf for Judo SA.
Goshinjutsu Mon: 8.00-8.30, Christian and Tim are onto wrist locks!
Yes we have started the self defense stuff and got through several self defense scenarios already… More to come!
Nage no Kata: Wed: 8.00-8.30!

Training has been extended to give you more opportunities to be ready for this one! More fitness more, Uchi komi on Saturday and after Wednesday training too!
