Club Grades, 20 Players Already Graded and More still to come!
Yes Saturday was a great day with over 20 grades completed including quite a few black belts too! And there are still quite a few people due their catch up grades in the next few weeks,
Coloured Belts at 1.00pm
Yellow Belt recipients were Richard, Michael, Tam, Christian, Sonja, Margaret and David.
Orange Belt players include Eddie, Allen and Min.
Green Belts James and Simon.
Blue Belts: Daniel, Stephen, Chris and Tom.
Saturday Training Continued too…
Bart made sure the Saturday session continued and players who finished their grading earlier were invited to take part in the last part of Saturday session so they could work out with Bart and his team.
Then the Black Belts after 3.00pm!
Nidans include: Chad, Yoshiya and Ben W. And Han is moving through to Shodan after the paper work is completed.
Well done To everyone and those who could not make it for one reason or other, please come along to training and we will fix it up in the next few weeks…
And the Celebrations Began!
We had a small ceremony after the Dan Grading of Moving all the new Nidan Name Plates onto the next Level on the Honour Board at Thebarton. Chad in particular is now keen to move on to his Third Degree Black Belt after Chad and Yoshiya’s excellent work to get their Second Degree Black Belts!
Then the players went off to one of our favourite watering hole, “THE DELI” to have a few drinks together! It WAS a GREAT CLUB DAY…
Team Preparations are Underway…
Yes we have a list on the board for the Presidents Cup, which is a Team event so everyone Come and Talk to Bart about it. And get in some practice for Semester 2. Saturday will include practice for this event, so come along and learn the rules of the game.
Kodokan Trip in July…
Yes this year we will be trying to improve all our moves again by going to the Kodokan in Japan. And Pedro will be coming this year too… Meera and I will be once again going to Japan to sharpen up our kata skills. This year it is going to bee Itsutsu no KATA as the Main focus… Here are some Senseis from Italy doing the demo…

SAIO List on the Board…
Yes we are also keen to get teams for State run events in Semester 2, so come along and talk to us and put your name down on the SAIO list. Then we can get the biggest team so far to this event. Already Bart, Chad and the boys have expressed a lot of interest so get to THebarton and enlarge the team!
