Meetup Organizer Needed

We need a new organizer for the Augusta Linux User Group meetup group. Because of changes in Meetup Organizer subscription plans out last organizer had to step down as the organizer of the group. If anyone here is an Organizer in Meetup (www.meetup.com) and you can organize another group then we need someone to take ownership of our Meetup group there. Because the Meetup group has over 300 members (Penguins) you will need to have an "Unlimited" or "Pro" subscription. Since the ALUG group has no dues or other financial income there are no funds available to pay the monthly subscription fees.

I see that Meetup is going to close our group tomorrow if no one takes over it. Sorry for the short notice. If anyone can step forward and take over this group it would be appreciated.

This post was originally written on Thursday the 24th of August. (Not exactly sure why it did not get posted until today, Monday.) So the word "tomorrow" in the original post is referring to Friday the 25th (which has already past). Right now the group still shows up in Meetup and can be taken over. Not sure how long Meetup will keep the group without a paid organizer.
