Salutations,

I know you know something. Yes you! How about sharing something come the next meeting. We can discuss pretty much anything, even if you have to discuss Windows (abit). Solid topics are programming, system administration, networking ... pretty much anything IT or IS related.

What would you like to present?

If there is interest, I'd be glad to present on my Security Onion project.  Security Onion is a Linux distro for IDS (Intrusion Detection) and NSM (Network Security Monitoring). It's based on Xubuntu 10.04 and contains Snort, Suricata, Sguil, Squert, Snorby, Bro, NetworkMiner, Xplico, and many other security tools. The easy-to-use Setup wizard allows you to build an army of distributed sensors for your enterprise in minutes.

Thanks,
Doug

Last we talked I believe you could avail yourself for our June meeting. Will you be able to present (June 16 Sat @ 1400)?

Hi Timothy,

No, I said I was free on 5/12 and 5/26. I'm not available on 6/16.

Shameless plug: I'll be teaching SANS SEC503 Intrusion Detection
In-Depth in Augusta that day. Registration is still open :) For more
details, please see:
http://augusta.issa.org/drupal/SANS-Augusta-2012

Perhaps we could shoot for July?

Thanks,
Doug
