Thank you to Tim & Howard for passing the word about the two Canvasbacks in Winthrop. Lifer's for me!! I just saw your emails this morning and decided to run over to take a look and, sure enough, the two were still there!
Bright male in breeding plumage and I'm wondering if the other is a juvenile rather than an adult female...but I'll leave that to the experts in our group.😉

Also... I've been patrolling the local marshes lately and the first Redwing blackbirds showed up yesterday at the marsh by the bridge on Turtle Run road. In 2024 they showed up there on March 6 and last year on March 9, so they're pretty much on schedule there as far as my notes show. Obviously other areas may differ.
No Horned Larks or Sandhill's in the cornfields up by Kent's Hill orchards yet, unless I missed something.
