Your future duties and responsibilities
We need a candidate with good PL/SQL skills, ETL experience and basic UNIX skills that are necessary for troubleshooting ETL job and application failures within our system (ability to navigate directories, find files, view/edit file permissions, use the Vim editor/less/more/etc. commands to view and search the contents on files).
• Collaborates with product owner developing User Stories, participating in prioritization and helping to validate the developed solution
• Research complex data through SQL, Excel and other tools to identify patterns and support development activities
• Partners closely with product owner and developers to deliver prioritized features
• Depicts complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences
• Document high-level business workflows and come up with improvement and efficiency opportunities to streamline business workflows
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
The position is a traditional Quality Assurance Engineer role that’s focused on testing feed file processing and service-based data interactions across various teams that are both internal and external to our client. Having financial domain knowledge is definitely a nice-to-have, but having the technical skills to perform the various testing tasks is really mandatory.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle and related processes
• Experienced with creating business process models and using them to describe business requirements
• Excellent written, speaking and interpersonal skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Good experience in developing SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data in relational data bases
• Experience in Asset Management solutions is a plus
