Description :
Position: Network Engineer
Duration: 06-12 months
The Network Engineer’s role is to ensure that industry best practices and methodologies are applied to a network project involving voice, data, video and wireless network services. The engineer will oversee the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This individual will also analyze and recommendations in the resolution of network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide training to junior team members where required.
Requirements:
· Understanding of mass deployed MPLS networks
· Able to troubleshoot L2.5 issues
· Be able to take a design from a design engineer and make it come to fruition
· Experience deploying QoS, MPLS, L2VPN's, and L3VPN's
· Service provider knowledge including TDM deployments, metro Ethernet deployments, and carrier grade networks
· Ability to work on a homogeneous networks consisting of many like vendors
· Detail oriented with an extensive attention to detail
· Willing to travel and work long hours
· Able to work well in groups
· Able to work with little to no guidance
· Able to communicate to individuals with less detailed understanding of protocols, networks, and MPLS
· Able to work multiple projects simultaneously with many interruptions
