Hi,
I'll be building an auduino soon and wanted to ask you how to add
LED's to it. Do you put them in series with the 4.7k pots? Or how do
you get them to come on. Also any idea on Fvoltage, and if I need
resistors to go with them, etc. Any schematics? I can see in
goatboyrob's unit that it has 6 pots. The drawing on Tinkerit shows 5
pots. Could you elaborate, please what you hooked the 6th pot to? Or
is it the LDR with a pot hooked to it. Again if you have some
schematics I would love to take a look at it. I'm new to electronics,
built my arduinome and got hooked. So I'm at the "follower" stage,
meaning I love to copy other projects. Maybe one day I'll do something
unique.
I also watched Denkitribe video of using the softpot to play the
synth, but have no idea wher I could connect it (instead of the 4.7k
pot, or in line with it?)
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Tad

If you want to connect LEDs, you connect them across the power lines.
You will need the appropriate value series resistor to limit the
current. That can be calculated using ohms law.

Auduino is what you make of it. I suggest you start building it
exactly as described. Then have a play with it, see what you would
like to improve. That may be extra circuitry - it may be extra
software. It may even be extra hardware. Your call. Make it your own.

Good luck - you're at an exciting time! Don't get too ahead of
yourself though. Adding extra circuitry requires you to know how to
design that circuitry - knowledge you might not have yet. Build
standard projects, get them working, then add modifications
afterwards.

Thanks

I figured from my LED data that I would need about 150 ohm resistor
(The LED's are 20mA at 2V)

I agree with you on the scope of my first attempt. Will build it like
the schematics show, then will add 1 LED with resistor either to the
one of the pots, or at the point of entry across 5V and will see what
happens :)

Thanks again
Tad
