Hello,


Thanks to those who attended the recent VIP event in Hutchinson! We are conducting a survey to determine the event's impact and purpose. Whether you attended one of the events or not, please TAKE THE SURVEY (no more than 5 minutes).

7/6: Ribbon Cutting: Vigilance

Attend the official ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating Vigilance, a remarkable new public sculpture created by renowned Kansas artist Alan Tollakson and generously gifted by John and Karen McCulloh in honor of Jan Garton. Vigilance depicts a protective bison cow and calf carved from native Flint Hills limestone. When Jan Garton was President of the Kansas Audubon Council (precursor to AOK), she rallied people to restore and protect Cheyenne Bottoms. AOK will have a table and extra support is welcome.

Participants are invited to visit interactive stations at their own pace and experience hands-on activities focused on the wildlife and habitats along the Niobrara River. RSVPs at bit.ly/HuttonFieldDay26 are appreciated, but not required. Seeking volunteers to assist with this event; lodging provided. Contact Jackie for more details.
