Machiniste Notetracks

Can someone explain to me how you use a notetrack with the machiniste?
Is it possible to put on a oneshot of each note in my pulv melody then
drag the notetrack from that over to the machiniste so they play the
same tune?

Noooo thats not possible. The machiniste is for loops only, BUT you can make a note track for it if you want a more detail drum beat  for complex DnB songs or what not

yes it is possible. thats how Infythsion created the piano synth, by uploading one-shot of each note played on a piano. one problem with it is that you can only use 9 notes...

I understand what you are saying @kiril but that is not what he asked. And you can make more than 9 notes...just use multiple machiniste.

You use it to make even more detailed beats by creating a notetrack for it and manually placing in each key at finer beats like 1/64. The machiniste can also do this by changing the beat which is on the left top middish near the volume dial, over top the shuffle button. That will make your beats cut time or 3/4 or 6/8.., and can be used just as well. There are more than one way to do many things. But to finalize your first q, if you want to make a melody through the machiniste you can only use loops and you have to play with the machiniste..but you cant transfer pulv to machiniste.

actually i think kiril might be talking about what i'm talking about.
if i put on a oneshot, one of the inf_piano oneshots for example, and
assigned a oneshot that makes each note in the key my song is in to
the same note on the machiniste notetrack, then i could drag a
notetrack from the pulv or anything else and have the same notes play
on the maschiniste right? i'm pretty sure in theory it should work
but i'm having a hard time actually doing it.

Oooooh ok i see now. Thats interesting..try it and see if it works..it should..just make sure your samples in the machiniste correspond
