I attempted a slappy bass in this track: http://www.audiotool.com/track/synthetic_groove/

When you go higher on the note track, it has a pinky pick (don't know
the technical term) style to it. Hopefully it's helpful in some way.

I've only very baseline looked into some synthesis techniques. But
from what I gleaned, some sounds are easy to imitate, like a cheap
nylon guitar pluck. And others are stupidly involved, like some
acoustic instruments. I'm not waiting on it incredibly, but if there
was ever an easier way to handle big multisample uploads, probably
would be best way.

I did have a good idea that would work for short envelope sounds
though... Basically just boot up a program, load a midi module, and
make an ascending scale a couple octaves and just save it as a wav you
can chop up in a notetrack.
