Hi, I want to open the Chart data and make a graphic in my PC.

Is there any way to use the saved data in AudioTool to use that in Smaart, or make and Excel file with the measurement?
Can I only use this in AudioTool?

Thanks!

All the saved AudioTool files are text files, so they can be imported into e.g. Excel or Matlab. (I don't know about Smaart,)

Open up Excel, and select the "Data" tab. Then under "External Data Sources" select "Text".

Navigate to the location of the AudioTool file you want to import, and click on the "Get Data" button.

In the next screen, select the "Delimited" radio button, then click on the "Next" button.

In the screen that follows make sure there is a tick/check in the "Space" delimiter option.

Then click "Finish". The data will be imported to the table.

Let me know if you have problems.

Julian

Hi Julian, I have been using this method and it works very well. But I had a problem saving the datas from AudioTool. Some of my measurements have been saved in AT format, that dont allow me to put in excel the dB level in time, it's a kind of frequency division of the signal. I have this AT files (or backups) saved in my phone.

Is there a way to reload the AT files in AudioTool and save it again in CHART format? If it isn't, I can't create charts for dB/time in excel and I lost this measurements, right?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Miguel,

The .at spectrum files don't have any time history information - they are a snapshot in time. So you will need to re-make those measurements and save them as chart files, I'm afraid.

Hi Enoch,

I'm not sure which question to answer - you've asked several in this thread :-)

Do you have AudioTool working on your phone/tablet?

If you want to load AudioTool files into Excel, there is a prescription for doing that further up in this thread.

I cannot teach you how to EQ your church hall as I am not an audio engineer. I'm sure there are plenty of online resources that could help, and maybe someone else on the forum who is an engineer can point us to them?
