Are there any submini tubes that are happy running at <50V?

I would love to build some phono stage/crossover type stuff with
tubes, but without big power transformers (expensive) and high
voltages (dangerous) and stuff. I'm having fun with JFETs for that
now, but I would love to get back into tubes.

Jason,
Probably 50 or so. Plus there are lots of normal tubes happy below
50V, 12SX7, 6DJ8, 6N6P, etc. Look here, http://www.junkbox.com/electronics/lowvoltagetubes.shtml
for a start. Google low voltage tubes for more.

Do you have any favorites?

I think Bob has some I could maybe borrow/steal/recycle.

Jason,
Like tubes in general it depends on the circuit. Steve Bench has a
two battery power phonos, one uses 6088 and 512, the other uses 5676.
Other battery phonos use different tubes. If you have a few 6GM8/
ECC86s here is an interesting moving coil amp, scroll down to the MC
step-up,

Though given your stash of 6DJ8s, that seems to be an easy way to go.

Yeah I do have a bunch of 6DJ8s and even some 12sx7s. I sorta want to
play with the subminis one of these days though.

Thanks for the links!

Jason,

Anything I have you are welcome to it. I am currently in Oklahoma to tend to some family business. I expect to be back this saturday night.
