Hi,

my Motu Ultralite MK4, MiniDSP UMIK-1 and Audiolense XO won't work for measuring

I've tried now with another 2CH DAC - no problem. Here I can choose in the measurement window diffenrent Playback Output and Microphone Input devices. Not when the MC Motu Ultralite MK4 is connected. I just can't define the UMIK as the input device, the Audiolense menue won't let me do this. See attachments (did only take snapshots from the 2 CH setup).
It is also correctly set in the sound tab of the system preferences as
 I believe.

Furthermore, I see now issues in the routing tab of the MOTU.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Mark

I hope some of you guys have some insights to share here. I’m in the dark, I’m afraid…

Hopefully this is long since settled.  I read the post because I am considering the Motu Ultralite.  Can I ask how you like the Motu for same/similar active speaker application?
In any case, I think this is/was an ASIO thing. IIRC, ASIO drivers require input and output to be to/from the same device.  Had you used a non-USB mike plugged into a preamp on the Motu, everything would have been fine.  So too if Motu gave you the option of a Java or other non-ASIO driver.

I have the Ultralight and found no way to use a USB mic and switched to a Dayton and it shows up and allows measurements without issue.I am having an issue with filtering measurements that hopefully Bernt will be able to resolve for me. You can see my post for details if curious.

I have an MK4 as well and has been working flawlessly. However, I'm using it with a Dayton MM6 directly connected to the mic pre-amp input.

I got a Behringer ECM8000 in the end. AL doesn’t really work well if you don’t use the same Output and Input device.
