Hello Simon,
What connection do the driveshafts have to the geartrain?diff?
Are they flanges or splines?
What sizes?( lots of flanges in european cars are very similar )
There are specialist companies in holland who can make any size but if
you know how long they have to be,, maybe I can find you standard prts
you can find at the scrapyard.
B.t.w. Stil looking into canbus problems because i hope to do a
similar project soon.
Grts,
Japio

Through a reduction differential.

Splines

I think it is the Suziki Swift from the mid-90's. Th einfo from AZD:

"... you would weld the inner joints from our halfshafts to the outer
joints from the Audi shafts. Now you have shafts that mate with the
AT1200 on one end and with your Audi wheels on the other end. ...Our
halfshafts are US$350 per pair, plus freight. You can try to buy them
locally from a GM or Suzuki dealer. Part numbers to look for:
96066874 (GM old number), 44114-60B21 (Suzuki), 30018147 (GM new
number)."

In fact today I ordered one scrap diff from a scrap yard to see if it
fits. If it doesn't then maybe I have to try a company like you
suggest.

OK tell me if you make progress on the CANbus.

Gellukig dat ik een beetje nederlands begrip, anders misschien heb ik
je "subject header" niet begripen ;-)

OK today I "tried" the half shaft - total failure. The Swift shaft has
a female fitting on the gearbox end - and the AT1200 is also female.

Enough wasted time, I think I will order the Azure Dynamic's half
shafts and be done with it...

I now have the AZD half shafts - perfect fit of course. Just have to
get the engine fitted...
