First ideas for engine layout here:

Bulkhead at top. AC24LS goes top left (right side of car), underneath
the repositioned 12V battery. Between the original mounts will go a
cross beam (tube?) with a Y-shaped support coming off it going over
and then down the bulkhead to some nicely positioned brackets on the
chassis.

Forward of this cross beam, I'll mount two banks of batteries (lower
layer), then a further bank to the right (LH side of car) upper layer.
If I position it right, then should be OK for the controller on left
side, upper layer.

Weight distribution of the (95) batteries would be 100kg forward, 65kg
rear. Weight of the charger will be compensated by moving 12V battery
forward.

OK it's beginning to look good. Tested the motor up against the
existing half shafts (which will be 8cm too short in total due to the
narrower differential on the AT1200) and position seems great. Just
need to get two half shafts that fit the diff and mate them to the
Audi ones.

Looked under neath too and measured it up: enough space in front of
rear railing cross arm to get another two rows of batteries: 83cm
wide, 30cm back to front, and 25cm tall, with the bottom then being
level with the floor pan ahead.

Also figured that the engine support will work better with:

- cross member between existing engine mounts
- cross member between chassis mount at bottom of bulk head
- Z shape rail horizontal from upper cross member, down bulkhead, then
down to lower corss member, to mount/hang motor.

I'll use the original motor torque arm/position to hold the diff in
position.
