Working Bees
Many thanks to the large group who participated in the Working Bee last Sunday. A huge amount of sealing and priming got done -- two 10-litre containers of gib sealant completely used up -- that is a lot of brush strokes and roller sweeps! Thanks also to others who came in during the week to help out. It was a major effort just to get all the first coats done, as well as completing all 3 coats in the bathrooms so that the vinyl could be laid this week. We have now handed over the rest of the painting to an excellent team of professionals, who will be finished tomorrow.
There will just be sitting this Sunday (10 August), giving people a chance for a rest day in advance of a the big push on the following two Sundays.
Presently the plan for subsequent weekends is as follows:
Sunday 17 August 8:30 sitting then 2.5 hours of work (10:10 morning tea, work 10.30-1.00, no lunch)
Sunday 24 August 8:30 sitting then a full day of work to shift everything to new space and clean up at Church Street (tea at 10:10 then 10.30-1pm, 1 till finished). We will need people to bring food to share for lunch.
