One Day Sitting and Dawn Blessing this Sunday

Hi Everyone,

Last Friday we picked up our Building Consent for the alterations at 52 Princes St, and we are expecting the contractor to start work next Monday.

As a way of acknowledging the past and present life of the land upon which our new zendo sits, there will be a dawn blessing of the site this Sunday at 7:00 a.m. sharp, conducted by Ngati Whatua kaumatua Jerry Norman. Breakfast will be served after the ceremony. Everyone is warmly invited. 

The ceremony will form part of our one-day sitting, which will start as usual at 6:00 a.m. For information about the one-day sitting see here. There is a sign-up sheet at the zendo or email us at in...@aucklandzen.org.nz.

People are welcome to attend just the blessing and breakfast, or join the sittings before or after as well.
