Dear friends, please excuse this additional email this week, but we wanted to get your creative juices flowing...
we will be planning a DIE IN (students lay down and block traffic/hallways/etc to represent the casualties of war) as a part of the escalating tactics against the war taking place nationally, the IRAQ MORATORIUM, where across the country students are doing events and protests concerning the war in Iraq the last Friday of every month.
When: Wed January 30th, 5-6 pm
Where: student bodies impeding the flow of traffic into TDR, the school cafeteria by laying around the MGC lobby entrance
-We will need students to play a variety of roles including being bodies as well as handing out leaflets explaining the action and chatting with angry and inconvenienced students
PLANNING MEETING FOR THIS EVENT:
Thursday January 24th at 5 pm in the Kay Lounge
-We will design leaflets and discuss how we want this action to look (fake blood anyone?)
-We will also discuss disciplinary consequences so all students are aware before participating in this action
Please join us in planning and participating in this event...and pass this on to interested students and student groups.
