Special Notes about NCOR and Iraq Anniversary

Hello to all CASJistas and supporters and friends-
FIRST,  as you all know, NCOR (National Conference on Organized Resistance: http://www.ncor2008.org/) is this coming weekend, and many of our friends have been working hard to make this come together! We have a few ways in which we still need help this weekend.


1) Tabling!  CASJ will be having a table full of information about our clubs- selling some shirts for the lovely Justice Not Jails, AU Animal Rights Effort, and Food Not Bombs. If you have any literature or merchandise you want us to sell for your club, PLEASE leave it in the CASJ office with a note on it before Friday.
Also, we really need folks who are free to sit at the table and sell this stuff/talk about the Coalition as a way we build the activist community at AU, mostly just hang out....:) 
So PLEASE, sign up for one of these slots by emailing me back at laurag...@gmail.com....its easy and a great way to meet other cool NCOR folks!

2) Volunteering!
 For a FREE t-shirt, and 4 kinds of delicious vegan wraps to choose from for lunch, email ncorvol...@gmail.com for ways to volunteer and plug in- STILL NEEDED: t shirt sales and people to 'float' and help people find workshops and other things they might need! THANKS!


SECOND, we are putting together some antics for the anniversary of the Iraq War- a whole week of events with our creative action taking place on Monday, from about noon-2 (we will meet early monday morning at 8 in the CASJ office to put things together....email laurag...@gmail.com if you can be there!)
       the plan: Birthday Party for the Iraq War (handing out cake and balloons with #  of casualties written on them, a birthday card detailing the absurdities of this endless war "here's to 10,000 more?") 
WHAT WE NEED:
____folks to bring cake and balloons and other absurd birthday props (email joshua.a...@gmail.com if you can help with this)
____people to dress up in clown suits and wear these Bush, Condi, and Rove masks we made, preferably people who can make or fake balloon animals :) (email mike...@hotmail.com)
____lots of people to help 'attend' the birthday party, hand out cards and play childrens games on the quad....(maybe in costume, maybe fake blood involved ?) and folks to help with a banner drop (email laurag...@gmail.com)
