A few of us have been planning a great event to protest the 4th Anniversary of the Iraq War that will be taking place Tuesday, March 20th. It involves a replica of the Vietnam wall going across the quad, Cheney/Rumsfield/Bush ensemble, participatory art, and stencils to name a few…. If you'd like to be involved (we want your minds!) we have an IMMEDIATE ACTION for you!
Meet us Monday, March 19th anytime after 2 pm to help with the wall art and corporate costumes in the Kay Basement!
WE WILL NEED LOTS OF BODIES (yes, we want your body!) to help put up the wall and spray paint stencils, starting at 10 PM on MONDAY- please meet us in the Kay Basement to help out.
THANKS everyone, hope to see you there!
Please email ca...@american.edu or call x. 3333 (or in a pinch, 503 939 9355) with any questions.
And if you could forward the following blurb to anyone it may be applicable to, or please respond to it yourself….
A coalition of AU students, faith groups, and social justice groups are commemorating the fourth anniversary of the war Tuesday, March 20th on the quad, and invite campus participation in vigil and protest for the sake of peace. If you would like to participate by submitting the name of a friend, family member, or loved one who has served or died in the Iraq war, please email their name to the Community Action and Social Justice Coalition at ca...@american.edu by Monday, March 19th.
PEACE Y'ALL, lets stop a war….
