Are you currently doing research in international education?

We are now accepting proposals for the Spring 2020 NAFSA Research Symposium focused on "A Critical Discussion of Theories, Methodologies, and Practices in International Education", which will be held at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts on Friday, April 24, 2020. The Call for Proposals is now posted online.

  • Individuals wishing to present their research, and be included in one of the two research panels for the day (a total of 9 presentations may be selected*), should submit a one-page summary of the research by January 26, 2020. Submit here
  • For the first time, we will also be having a poster fair for ongoing/completed research (graduate students are encouraged to submit). Individuals interested in presenting a poster should submit a 250-300 word summary by March 1, 2020. Submit here

The Research Symposium is a venue for peer review, sharing ideas and information related to research and scholarship in international education. For inclusion in a panel, research must be original and unpublished research*. Submission guidance is provided in the Call for Proposals and on the website, plus there are examples of accepted proposals from previous NAFSA Research Symposium events in the NAFSA Research Connections community library.
