Hey guys,
I came a across a link to some dev-ops (developer operations) books,
that might be of interest to some people.
http://devopsbooks.com/
There's a few good books on scaling & designing for the cloud there.
I can recommend the "Building Scalable Web Sites" by Cal Henderson
(Flickr), it's a good read on some of the concepts.
I've also started reading "Cloud Application Architectures" and it
seems pretty good so far & is written against AWS, so some good hands
on stuff.
Pro-tip: O'Reilly have most if not all of those books on their site,
and they currently have a 60% off eBooks sale (code DDF2H).
I picked up those top 2 books for US$14.40 each.
Also, if you're new to this whole cloud thing, I'd recommend grabbing
a copy of Jeff Barr's (AWS Evangelist) "Host Your Website In The
Cloud". It's not pictured there, but it's a great intro to the AWS
tools and how they work together.
thanks,
mark
