Hi people

I have a very small job etching a plexiglass plastic model.  We don't have access to the hackerspace but maybe one of you has a business laser at home?  The part is 4.5" x 2"

Thanks

Hi Susan

Attached are two PDF files and Ai files.  I don't know if they are scaled appropriately but I'll include this image that will give you a sense what you are looking at.  The model is a little longer that 5" and width is 2.5"  These should be a raster etch and not very deep.  The silicone mold material will have no problems picking up the details and if the etching is deep there is a potential for trapping an air bubble in the mold material.  Don't want that.  I have extra material to practice and dial in the speed and power of your laser raster.

In the logo image below there is a copyright symbol that is NOT in the PDF file.  The PDF file are correct.

Copyright graphic is 1" wide
Logo is 1.35" wide

I'd like the depth to be about .001 inches or about the thickness of paper card stock.

The text is small enough that much deeper than that I'd risk the letters being damaged or broken

The garlic shaker is to give you an idea of scale. The plastic piece is on some plaster to help locate the part after dialing in the location.
