In the Lounge, you can check out the SmartLED sign that I put together for our Awesmic City Expo table.
Clio helped construct it and Riley performed surgery to find and replace the 2 LEDs I fried with the soldering iron.
Just plug in the power brick - software is on Arduino. It's mostly the Adafruit demo with color effects.
I keep getting more ideas for the sign. I started implementing a dissolve effect and a pixel group effect and will port my Sunrise effect. I intended to have a servo making a bat fly around. Maybe with magnets. Then there is rear-projection video... some gears in the corners... laser vector drawing system... wireless... a built-in Asteroids game... seriously, my brain won't stop. But for now it's a yellow rectangular sign with our name on it lit by 3 rows of blinky lights.
The software will stay Arduino and be available for hacking.
If you want to go ahead and hack it, just grab the Adafruit_Neopixel library, open the example program and change it to 114 LEDs, then upload to the 'duino.
I guess I will put it up as a Hosted Tool for events.
