Thanks for kicking it off Christy and Jeff! Anyone want to come in on next Tuesday evening and run through Christy’s check list so we can add photos?
Jeff - Can you send amazon links for the products we should get? Off the top of my head we should have
* mop, bucket, broom
* scrubbing bubbles, sponge
* toilet brush and plunger
* Rubber Gloves
* Hand soap, sanitizer, lava soap, paper towels and TP
* Squeegee and windex
* Clorox
We have some of these, but I could really use advice on brands and pro tips. One of many important things boys didn’t think they should learn when I was growing up.
We tore the carpet out of the Elect shop and it was a big improvement but a *ton* of work. This is a smaller area, I’ll let others weigh in on the merits vs tradeoffs. What would make the biggest improvement — tiling walls or floors? Incidentally, we will be getting the carpets professionally cleaned in the next few weeks — got an amazing deal from someone starting a new business. Announcement soon.
Before we start a big project I’d like to pull off the low hanging fruit: ensuring the equipment and materials are stocked, orderly and at hand, and that the process is documented and audited. I have verified in conversations and experience that these active stumbling blocks — however small — are enough to disinvite people from choosing “Clean” over “Die”. If we show that we *super* care to make it easy for people to clean, I hope and believe their willingness to do so will see a quantum change.
