I was trying the online circuit designer and unless I am mistaken... breadboards have an electrical gap between the two halves. At least mine does... so this circuit should not work unless the jumpers are installed. What do you think??

The ones I recently aquired have the power buses connected all the way across.  The ones I bought last millenium did not.

It's a little misleading that they have a line between the two halves on the one in the simulation. That would seem to indicate that they are not connected, but obviously they are.

But yeah, I've seen different breadboards that are and aren't connected between the two sides.
