Subject: [rocketry-austin] Access to CNC Lathe

I have a friend that has a friend...

That has a CNC lathe that has shown interest in machining parts for
individuals. I'm thinking about having him make duplicates of some parts
for me (nozzle carrier, forward closure).

I don't know the details, but my friend said that his rates are $50/hr which
sounds reasonable to me. Would anyone be interested in investigating this
farther?

Stu

I haven't needed a CNC lathe yet. So far, my manual machine is enough.

Although I can imagine things to make that would require CNC, $50/hr >
free (already paid for).

I'm open to friends using my machine for free (within reasonable
limits), or making items for them for very low prices. CAVEAT: you get
what you pay for!
