Any chance of a meeting in October? I'll probably be going to Dorkbot
as well, but it would be nice to get together for chitchat.

For some shameful self promotion, I recently blurted out some more
music of which perhaps 78.2608% was done in supercollider. It is a
compilation, so check out track 18 for maximum recentness.

I'm down. I have to go to San Francisco for a film festival oct 22-25,
but any other time is good. I think we should definitely do a
programming audio meeting. Do you want to helm it?

Yeah, I could give an intro to supercollider, and also compare it to
pd/max, and connecting it with processing, and to hardware, etc.
However I am not sure I could wrangle a location, or a projector which
would be nice.

i've got a projector that'll take VGA or DVI if we can find an outlet.

Thanks, I can get either adapter for my MacBook (damn you mini
displayport) and can bring some venue appropriate speakers. Making
noise would be preferable to headphones, so a public venue would be
sub-optimal.

I have adapters, too. :)

I'd be willing to offer my house as a non-public venue. I've been lurking on the list for a while and would be thrilled to attend a supercollider meeting (I use SC). I live just east of downtown. My living room would probably fit up to 15 or so folks with a projector. I also have a screen we could use. I think almost any time in October after the 12th would work fine.

Cheers,
Travis

Nice. What are everyone's thoughts about the 19th or the 20th?

19th or 20th works for me. Thank you for the offer of your house
Travis! (It's a good location, I've seen it before)

Either one would work for me.

I'll vote for the 20th. Mondays are annoying.

I'm assuming we are still on for tomorrow night? If so, you folks will probably need my address: 1010 Willow St.

What time should we start?

How about 7:15? I have a bit of a cold today, but I should be alright
for tomorrow. I'll have DVI output for the projector (thanks John),
and I'll bring a speaker/amp of some sort. For those bringing
laptops, I'd suggest headphones so you can hear your own laptop out of
one ear.

Mentioned last night.

http://www.eigenlabs.com/alpha/

11 bit, 2048 levels on the buttons and control strips, 12 bit on the
breath control.

I'm pretty bummed out I flaked on last night. Did anybody take
notes? :)

I'm totally getting the eigenharp pico, by the way. Create Digital
Music had a really good article about eigenlabs that I think is more
informative than anything on the actual site.

I'll certainly be watching when they release it. If that level of
control accuracy can be piped into SC, there will be a household fund
drive.

I have the outline of presentation, but it probably won't be useful as
it is more a list of talking points than a full fledged guide. For
what use it might be, I've attached the file to the group.
