Hey guys,

I've been scrambling putting everything together in order to graduate, Sukant's been buried alive at work, and I'm sure you guys are all juggling several mid-terms and semester projects. Needless to say... the code review event we planned, it's not going to happen today. Too many priorities, too little time. My sincere apologies for all those who had looked forward to this event.

Here's the good (better) news: I got my full-time offer with the same employer as Sukant, and we've talked extensively how we can revitalize the Austin Student Mentorship for the future. With school out of the way, I'll have much more time available to devote to activities like the mentorship, and since I'll be working in the same building as Sukant, we'll be able to communicate and plan events effectively. That's the goal. So while this semester has been really weak, the hope is that we can start out really strong in the fall semester with a big event to build momentum to carry us through the rest of the semester.

Is anyone interested in meeting today to hack and discuss? I leave this question completely open to you guys. We'll meet in ENS like we usually do starting at 6pm, and we'll go for as long as people are interested. If you're bogged down by mid-terms and are short on time, that's ok. If you've got some interesting problem or idea you've come across, you've done some work on the KenKen problem you'd like reviewed, or you're just interested in social coding, let us know.

Cheers,
Lane Smith

I've been working on a bunch of interesting stuff and would typically be interested in meeting today to hack and discuss the kenken problem, but I have an event that I've committed to at 6pm. I'll look forward to meeting in the future.

Congrats on your offer! PFI is a great company!

Awesome, I can't wait to hear about this stuff you've been working on :)

It looks like there's definitely interest to meet, but not today. Let's plan for meeting in two weeks, on Monday, April 9th at the usual time and place. I'll send out another message a few days prior.

Cheers,
Lane Smith.
