August Meeting(s)

I wanted to see when everyone is available this upcoming month.

 

My first proposal is a gathering at my house 183 & Mcniel on the weekend of August 1st, whether it be Friday/Saturday/ or Sunday. Trade plants, food, beer, ect. This meeting I would like to be focused around trading plants and a short discussion on sterilizing plants and algae so we don't cross contaminate each others tanks(not that we all have disease ridden tanks).

 

The second proposed meeting would be our official August meeting where hopefully the majority would be able to attend and maybe even present something more in-depth related to Aquascaping.

I can commit to that.  Sundays are off the table in August for me personally so a Friday Evening or anytime Saturday is good assuming other obligations don't appear.  

Sounds fun!  I can even volunteer some good, healthy snacks.

I can't make that day unfortunately. I am interested in coming to these. If we want to have one in the conference room at Fish Gallery (just a suggestion) in the near future I can probably get that together.

Ok so lets shoot for next Saturday around 6pm if need be we can always re-schedule for Friday night or Sunday afternoon. I'll probably be cooking up some snacks and dinner so you guys are welcome to bring something (small) since there probably won't be many of us and at the last meeting there was more food than we could eat. Cara said the "official" meeting will be in September but with the amount of people growing I see no reason why we can't meet swap plants and discuss our goals with our tanks. I have some pretty big plans since I cleared out a lot of fish in my house so I am very eager to see what everyone else thinks of my Planted Discus breeding programs I haven't picked out everything I want yet but these two variations will be in my shipment if anyone else is interested in buying some really nice discus through Kenny's Discus in August/September.

Saturday the 2nd?  I'm game!  Beautiful Discus, by the way.  That might make a good topic of discussion:  Plants that are amenable to a an active Discus breeding operation.  I hope this happens soon especially with Frank's sudden return.
