Greetings, atx-osg'ers:

One of our most-requested tech night topics has always been "PostGIS". Before I go too far down the road of planning anything, I wanted to reach out to you all first:

Are you a PostGIS fanboy or fangirl? If so, we would collectively love if you'd be up for giving us an evening of your time! Nothing advanced is necessary, as there is plenty of interest in a beginner-to-intermediate level introduction to using PostGIS.

If you're interested, even tentatively, in leading a "PostGIS: Up & Running" tech night (no earlier than August, so you have plenty of time) let me know. Your next Happy Hour drink is on me. :)

I know a bit or two about PostGIS. I do have some unpolished "how to" document that I used to help my peers and juniors with PostgreSQL installation and configuration which I can transformed into some slides? How can I help?
