**TIME SENSITIVE RECRUITMENT**

GISCorps is expanding our recruiting for a skilled team of ArcGIS Online users to conduct quality control of damage assessment point data within the area affected by the Camp Fire in Butte County, CA.

The Camp Fire burned 153,336 acres in Butte County, California, in mid-November. The fire destroyed almost 14,000 residences, over 500 commercial buildings, and over 400 other structures in and around the city of Paradise.

Butte County and CalFire have conducted damage assessment surveys of structures within the affected area. Because different methodologies and equipment were used, there is some cleanup required to merge these data sources into a single authoritative damage assessment dataset. The Butte County GIS Department has partnered with Esri to build a web application that can be used to conduct this QA/QC according to an established workflow. The resulting dataset will provide the information required to file for FEMA reimbursement to help the community recover and rebuild.

Note: The damage assessment survey data includes photographs of structural damage, and the workflow will require volunteers to view these photographs. Some volunteers may find this part of the mission to be emotionally taxing. Due to the sensitivity of the data, volunteers will be required to agree to basic privacy standards.

GISCorps is recruiting up to 6 more qualified volunteers to perform this QA/QC work. Selection of volunteers with the required skills will be done on a first come, first serve basis.

Qualifications:

Excellent attention to detail required
Prior experience in conducting damage assessment is preferred
Experience with Esri’s ArcGIS Online Smart Editor is required
Ability to collaborate in a Slack workspace is required
Experience with Web App Builder is a plus
Experience with Operations Dashboard is a plus
Slack channels will be monitored during PST (UTC -8) hours. Willingness to work and communicate between 7:00AM and 8:00PM PST is preferred.

Duration: Volunteer must be able to commit up to 10-15 hours total over the next 7-10 days. The project starts immediately. Qualified applicants should be contacted within 24-36 hours.

Software: Volunteers will work on Butte County’s ArcGIS Online platform and Slack channels from their own computer.

Type of mission: This mission does NOT require traveling and will be conducted remotely. The volunteers will be working closely with GISCorps, Butte County, and Esri representatives throughout the project via Slack.

If you are interested and available, please send an email along with your resume to: rec...@giscorps.org as soon as possible. Applicants will be vetted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled. Qualified applicants should be contacted within 24 hours.
