TxGIS Day, is a three-day geospatial technology virtual conference, where everyone from high schoolers, college students, and professionals will come together for presentations, panels, workshops and networking opportunities.

TxGIS Day 2020 will deliver the largest GIS Day event in the state by offering a wide range of events brought to you by the ATX GIS Day - URISA Texas team, the Houston Area GIS Day team, SWIGGIS - Austin, Texas A&M University, University of North Texas and University of Texas at Austin.

Community members, industry professionals, and high school, college, and university students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend free virtual GIS technology workshops and interactive events to build their skillsets and professional networks.

Workshops, career & professional panels , and nightly social & networking events provide opportunities to build skills and connect with professionals, academic programs, and leading organizations in the field.

GIS career and academic spotlight, along with industry speed dating, résumé reviews and virtual interviewing sessions will spice up participants' résumé and gain exposure employers looking to hire. Show off your recent project during our Lightning Talks.

The event features numerous competitions awarding over $1,000 in prizes and awards to students for best poster and research paper presentations, along with a volunteered geographic information (VGI) citizen scientist contest to collect data for a humanitarian mapping project.
