- Propane tank with propane.
- Propane adapter, regulator and 5' of gas hose.
- Hand made venturi style burner.
- Steel scrap for crucibles, lifting lugs, rings, hooks and tongs.
- Misc brass 1/4" fittings.
- Aluminum scrap.
- Wood for flasks.
- Wheelbarrow, shovel,trowels and hose.

Mat
Will you source the clays and sand? We can use my truck to haul them.
I also think it would be a good idea for you come out and pick over my
steel scrap pile.

By the way, I have an SUV that might be useful for moving especially heavy equipment/materials.

Awesome.  What is the diameter of the burner?  If we have that to work with, this entire project gets about 2x cheaper :)

It looks like this place has all the clay and sand that we need:

50 pounds of the two clays (bentonite and fireclay) should be ample, 100 pounds of sand should match, and even might cover the mold-making. 

Other than the cement and perlite, can come from home depot. 

Anyone know any good places to find scrap steel bits.  I typically hit metal-art stores dumpsters, and clippings from steel-yards.

I managed to get another 11 oz of small aluminum slugs for melting.

The burner is 3/4" pipe with a 1" pipe nipple on the end.
