children's choir, Feb. 5 concert

Hi everyone!
I hope you all had a restful 3-day weekend and that those of you who are in the midst of exams aren't feeling too overwhelmed. Our next youth group meeting isn't until February 7, but in the meantime, there are 2 items of interest coming up:
1. January 31 is a 5th Sunday, which means the children's choir should be singing in worship at Asbury Temple. Please come to church this coming Sunday so that you can join for practice. Since we just have one Sunday to rehearse, we'll probably do songs we already know.
2. On Friday, February 5, there's going to be a benefit concert on Duke's East Campus in which I, along with 3 other local groups, will be playing. Donations collected at the show will benefit Northwest Halifax High School, where test scores are low and resources slim. With the money, the school will help send their 10th graders to visit the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC as well as work on a project involving letters and relief packages the students will send to the survivors of the recent earthquake in Haiti. This is going to be a wonderful show and also the release of my new CD, all for a great cause, so I'd love it if you could come. Visit www.rockfortheschoolhouse.com to learn more.
