No one, regardless of political party, regardless of whether they are conservative or liberal, deserves to be president when they speak this way. How could you ever justify speaking this way about any group of Americans?
An excerpt from the New York Times today:
"President Trump used a public cabinet meeting to call Somali immigrants “garbage,” saying that they did not belong in the United States. Even for a president who has frequently made derogatory comments about immigrants, the rant against Somalis was an alarming use of vulgarity from the White House against an entire community. The tirade came as Immigration and Customs Enforcement was planning an operation targeting Somali migrants in Minnesota."
I am sad for my country today- that we could have a president so ill informed and so willing to divide, separate and smear any group is so far beneath the dignity of the high office he holds. Steve Duprey
My response.
Trump is missing the humanity gene he has no understanding of love empathy compassion forgiveness -we elected a soulless human being who delights in devaluing others…, what is shocking is not his amoral cruel behavior it is the fact that nearly 40% of Americans still admire him
AS Ron Abramson notes:
All this, which leads to the additional observation that the entire movement seems to have no capacity for joy … all that “winning,” but zero indicia of happiness.
part one: Peter Greene on Education
Peter Greene spent 39 years as a high school English teacher in small town Western Pennsylvania. He has written about how policies and practices affect classrooms for over a decade, and for Forbes since 2018.

part two: Chris Lehmann
Chris Lehmann is the DC Bureau chief for The Nation and a contributing editor at The Baffler. He was formerly editor of The Baffler and The New Republic, and is the author, most recently, of The Money Cult: Capitalism, Christianity, and the Unmaking of the American Dream (Melville House, 2016).

The White House Press Tracker Is a Parody of Media Criticism
With his approval number plummeting, Trump turns to a familiar strategy: launch a culture war against journalists.   https://www.thenation.com/article/politics/white-house-press-tracker-media-trump/
