Hello all,

After updating ATS from version 1.5 to 1.6, I noticed that the visualization file for the subsurface domain (.h5) no longer includes the permeability field. Is there a way to save permeability in the visualization h5 file (similar to how porosity is stored)?

My current visualization block is:

  <ParameterList name="visualization">
    <ParameterList name="domain" type="ParameterList">
      <Parameter name="file name base" type="string" value="ats_vis" />
      <Parameter name="times start period stop" type="Array(double)" value="{ 0, 30,-1}" />
      <Parameter name="times start period stop units" type="string" value="d" />
      <Parameter name="time units" type="string" value="d" />
    </ParameterList>
    <ParameterList name="surface" type="ParameterList">
      <Parameter name="file name base" type="string" value="ats_vis_surface" />
      <Parameter name="times start period stop" type="Array(double)" value="{ 0, 30,-1}" />
      <Parameter name="times start period stop units" type="string" value="d" />
      <Parameter name="time units" type="string" value="d" />
<Parameter name="aliased domains" type="Array(string)" value="{canopy, snow}" />

    </ParameterList>
  </ParameterList>

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Best,
Xueyuan

In the current release, permeability went from a scalar to a tensor, and we missed converting that to a valid vis format.  It will be fixed in the next release, but isn’t yet.
