Hi there,
Daymet has worked really well for my ATS simulation. I’m now looking to extend the simulation period but noticed that Daymet data is only available through December 31, 2023 (i.e., not yet available for 2024 and 2025).
Are there any recommended alternative datasets that can be used with ATS for this extended period?

Hi Chuyang,
I recommend HRRR (https://rapidrefresh.noaa.gov/hrrr/). It has real-time 3-km & hourly resolution. Its 48hrs forecast is a plus.
I have an example notebook for HRRR data visualization and format conversion to ATS-ready hdf5 file: https://github.com/ZhiLiHydro/atspflotranutils/blob/main/notebooks/hrrr_demo.ipynb
You may give a try and let me know if it works for you.
