extype (witout the dollar sign)

`extype`, without the dollar sign: is it to export a type definition to the target language?

I mean this kind of thing:

        extype "foo" = int

Which seems to be the same as this:

        extern typedef "foo" = int

And which is not the same as this:

        typedef foo = $extype "int"
