I am investigating using AtomBeat to manage a data set that is available in a variety of different formats. I would likely embed the XML formatted information in the ATOM entry's content. I'd like to publish alternate links to media resources and remote web resources that represent the alternate formats. When I publish an entry, it looks like the link rel=alternate entries are filtered.

Is this standard behavior for ATOM implementations?  I haven't been able to find anything related to this in the RFCs.

Is there a better way to address this?

Sincerely,
Dave

Hi Dave,

Can I just check, are you saying that you are trying to POST and atom
entry to a collection, where the atom entry includes a link with
rel=alternate, and that the link is being stripped out of the entry?

Cheers,

Alistair
