  US House firgurehead Mark Farina
will be playing at M Bar in Houston on July 28th in support of his
new CD release. Mark Farina has been a leading member of the
US House movement for 15 years, starting out in the Chicago/Detroit
scene in the late eighties. He has worked with Derrick Carter, Kevin
Saunderson and Chris Nazuka and signed his landmark Ambient House
masterpiece 'Mood' to KMS Records in ’89. Mark's has also remixed
tracks from labels Verve and Classic and has sold well over 100,000
albums worldwide.

The new CD
Release just out this
month is a 2CD mix album entitled Sessions via Ministry of
Sound. It is his first mix album for the pioneering UK
label. Mark Farina is the latest DJ on the Sessions
series which has also featured sets from Josh Wink, Steve Angello
and DJ Sneak. Mark has pulled together 40 tracks of upfront
hard-driving House on this notable release. For the Sessions series, Mark has opted to show his full
range of jackin’ beats and provides both a mix up and down that
combines deep vocals with rolling drum rhythms and upfront
electronics, all with a classic house backbone.
