I'm going to migrate the site (from a friend) to another server. The current server does have problems, until I migrate the domain I made a subdomain which is -design.at. Everything works except the themes (Avada) icons - this must be font-awesome-icons. The icons are working in Edge but not in FF, Chrome, Opera.

I migrated my client's website from MAMP to hostgator using all in one migration but after the migration, all of the avada awesome font wouldn't show (front end and back end) after hours of trying to fix I finally found a solution.

It looks like you have a hardwired domain in your temporary site. The errors are an attempt to load assets from one site into another, and unless the remote site permits that explicitly, the browser will disallow it for security reasons. As the error indicates, if you wanted this configuration long-term, you can get the remote to allow it using the Access-Control-Allow-Origin header.

However, since this configuration is an accident of using two domains, it would be better to modify your site code to get these fonts to load from a relative path starting from /, rather than referencing the domain explicitly.

Go to Avada > Options > Advanced > Theme Features and check if the Font Awesome v4 Compatibility option is turned On. If not, turn it on and click Save Changes. And If it's already on then turn it off and turn it on again then click save changes.

My solution ended up being to watch the console errors to see a font connection issue https: to http: went straight to WordPress settings, added the 's' to the WordPress & Site URLs. I normally do this, seems I missed it, and it caused all my icons not to load. Good stuff hope this works when all the other normal solutions didn't work.

1. Go to Toolset -> Settings and scroll to Editing Experience.
2. Select "Show both Legacy and Blocks Interface..."
3. Under Editor to use for WordPress Archives select "Classic Editor"
4. Go to Toolset -> WordPress Archives and create your archive. This will now be in the classic editor.
5. Under the Loop output Editor click on the Loop wizard and populate the archive with the elements you want. This will generate a content template in the archive.
6. Scroll down to the Content template editor and you will see a button "Fusion Builder" just click on this and it will allow you to edit your Custom Archive using the Avada Fusion Builder.

What are the standard elements used by toolset when generating archives automatically? I want to keep that styling, I just want to edit the rest of the archive page so I can add proper SEO texts, etc.

Ok, essentially in order to achieve this you will need to make a custom archive. This means that you will need to remake your archive elements inside Toolset. Ideally you can use the loop editor to setup your columns but you will need to make use of some html and css to get your layout to be the exact same as your theme's

I want the wp page (hidden link) to act as "the category archive page". And I want to be able to edit it with the avada builder. is there a way maybe that the system lets a wp page with the same permalink override the toolset archive page? that's should do the trick

It seems you are creating a 4 column layout in the fusion builder while having your view setup with bootstrap 4 columns. Remember that in the fusion builder you are creating a template for how each item is displayed, this means that you don't need to use the columns option in the fusion builder because what this will do is place 4 columns inside each of the already created bootstrap column.
