Hey gang,

We recently received the following email about preliminary steps towards getting involved with Intel / SecondMuse's new Innovation Pipeline. I need to let them know about setting up a call, so I wanted to see 1) if anyone else would be interested in being on that call and 2) if so, what times would be best. Personally, Friday is best for me, so I'll proceed with that unless someone tells me differently.

In other news, I actually won't be able to make nerd club tomorrow, but will definitely be at ATV on Sunday (after all, I missed my weekly Farmburger last week), so I hope to see you then.

Hello Team Peace Corps MedLink,

As you may have heard, Intel and SecondMuse are launching an Innovation Pipeline to support the continued development of projects started at the National Day of Civic Hacking which have potential for strong positive impact. The aim of the Innovation Pipeline is to help turn these hacks into deployment ready, freestanding applications, viable businesses and/or non-profit organizations through access to coaching, analytics and potential funders. This exciting initiative was announced at the recent White House Civic Hacking event on July 23rd.

Out of the hundreds of projects started at National Day of Civic Hacking events we believe your project is an excellent candidate for this program and we are writing to invite you to an initial call with us to discuss the Innovation Pipeline in more detail. On this call we will review the program, ask a series of questions about your project and your team, and answer any questions you might have. Based on these initial conversations, a select number of teams will be asked to participate in a second round of calls.

What does the Innovation Pipeline offer?

  • An individualized focus and action plan developed for each project, and executed in conjunction with Intel and SecondMuse.
  • Three to six months of professional coaching in the areas of organizational and business development, technical development and sprint planning, funding solicitation, user community outreach planning, and much more.
  • Access to a non-public data processing and analytics platform built by Intel Labs.
  • Connections to the professional networks of Intel and SecondMuse.
  • User testing and deployment planning and support.

We have the following times available during the week of August 26th - 30th. All times are EDT and all available slots are for a half hour.

Monday 8/26 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern

Tuesday 8/27 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM Eastern

Wednesday 8/28 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM Eastern

Friday 8/30 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern

Please let us know at your earliest convenience which time you would prefer, as well as the names and email address of any additional team members that should be invited. We look forward to speaking with you and your team soon.

Best,

Michael Brennan, Neisan Massarrat, Thea Aldrich and Katey Metzroth

The Innovation Pipeline Team
