The Peace Corps Office of Communications is looking for a back-end developer to join the web and marketing team. Work collaboratively on projects from discovery and definition to the delivery of standards-compliant, rich user experiences. Maintain a nationally-recognized U.S. government agency website that receives more than five million visitors annually. You may be the right fit if you have:

·         Ability to work independently and as a team player

·         Communication skills (technical and non-technical)

·         Ability to manage projects

·         Experience developing for the web

·         Very familiar with a high level programming language (Python a plus)

·         Very familiar with a common web framework (Django a plus)

·         Experience with object-oriented design and implementation

·         Experience with MVC programming

·         Experience with open source databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL

·         Experience with CVS (git a plus)

·         Experience with JavaScript, jQuery or other Javascript libraries

·         Experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

·         Comfortable developing in a Linux/Apache environment

·         Interest in learning and leveraging new solutions and methodologies

·         Experience using third-party APIs and services
