    As a reminder, there will be a meeting of the Atlanta – Rio de Janeiro Sister Cities Committee at 7:00 PM today (August 18, 2011), at La Madeleine Café (Perimeter) in Atlanta.  The topics we will discuss at the meeting include the following:

• The WRITE IN ATLANTA 2011 Event – To be held September 23, 24, 25th at Hotel Midtown

• The Teach the Teacher Language Job Training Program, presented by the Atlanta – Rio de Janeiro Sister Cities Foundation

• Election of a new chairperson: We are currently considering for chairperson the names of people who are interested in filling this position.  Please write up a letter of intent, and send it to the group (atl...@googlegroups.com) if you would like to considered.
• Upcoming events
• A possible mission trip opportunity to Brazil
• Membership renewal / new membership enrollment
• Updates to the ARJSCC website
• Planning for the 2016 Olympic Games and World Cup Soccer events in Rio de Janeiro
• The future of the Committee
• Establishment of by-laws
