JIRA cloud rest API for Webhooks

Is there a JIRA Rest API for cloud for creating/ registering  Webhooks ?

Hi Chef,

https://docs.atlassian.com/jira/REST/latest/ does not currently mention "webhook", so it looks like the answer is "no". 

You can register webhooks statically through your Connect descriptor: https://developer.atlassian.com/static/connect/docs/latest/modules/common/webhook.html

Alternately, if you wish for dynamic webhook registration, you may create an issue in the ACJIRA project on ecosystem.atlassian.net. If you do so then please outline your use case so that we can be sure to understand it properly.

I am moving forward with registering web-hooks for now.

If I run into issues , I will post a request with detail use case.

I was able to dynamically create  a webhook using the webhook API, but I had to use Basic Auth and not JWT auth (like the other API's use).

Hi Shane,

the REST API for webhooks is not whitelisted for use by Connect add-ons (see JIRA REST Scopes). Please vote for AC-1871 if you would like to see this supported.

Per our Add-on approval guidelines, add-ons listed on Atlassian Marketplace must not use Basic authentication.
